What happened at Webflow Conf 2025

Unpacking the enterprise-grade innovations defining the next era of digital strategy.
Webflow Conf 2025 marked a definitive turning point, evolving the platform into an AI-first, enterprise-ready ecosystem. The conference showcased how brands can now move from "prompt to production," delivering bold, AI-powered experiences backed by world-class hosting and a powerful CMS.
A Reimagined, Conversational AI Assistant
The new AI Assistant acts as an intelligent, conversational partner that understands your site’s specific structure, styles, and class system.
- Prompt to Production: Teams can now generate production-ready web apps and React components from a single text prompt directly on the Webflow canvas.
- Contextual Intelligence: The assistant can orchestrate complex tasks like refactoring sections, adjusting styles, or updating CMS content, proposing changes that you can approve or customize.
- AI-Powered SEO & AEO: Dedicated tools now assist with metadata, alt text, and schema markup to optimize for both traditional search and "Answer Engines" (AEO).
The Next-Gen CMS Architecture
Webflow completely re-architected its CMS on the backend to provide the massive scale required for an AI-first world.
- Massive Scalability: Individual collections can now scale to 1 million items, with double the previous fields and reference fields per collection for larger Enterprise sites.
- Multi-Level Nesting: All customers now have access to expanded design flexibility, including up to 40 collection lists per page and multi-level nesting up to three layers deep.
- Headless Content Delivery: New Content Delivery APIs allow you to serve your published CMS content through a CDN to channels beyond Webflow, such as mobile apps or external platforms.
Professional Infrastructure & Interactions
Webflow announced a strategic partnership with Cloudflare to host its infrastructure, promising faster, safer, and more reliable performance for all users.
- Interactions Powered by GSAP: Native interactions are now powered by the GreenSock Animation Platform (GSAP), unlocking premium controls like staggers and scroll triggers without writing code.
- Device-Specific Control: For the first time, developers can deactivate certain animations on mobile or customize them across specific breakpoints for better responsive performance.
- Bot Governance: A much-needed toggle now allows site owners to restrict AI crawlers, giving brands direct control over how their content is used by LLMs.
Real-Time Collaboration & Feedback
Long requested by agencies and teams, Webflow introduced true real-time collaboration that eliminates traditional bottlenecks.
- Design Together, Live: Multiple teammates can now edit elements, styles, and layouts on the same page simultaneously, with presence indicators showing exactly who is working on what.
- Comment-Only Links: You can now share projects with external stakeholders who can resolve feedback directly on the canvas without needing a Webflow account.
- Dedicated Component Canvas: A new, Figma-like workspace lets you manage and refine components side-by-side, independent of any live page, ensuring design system consistency.
The Vision for 2026
According to Linda Tong, CEO of Webflow, this shift represents a move toward "agent-optimized" websites that serve both humans and AI.
"Webflow is the only enterprise-ready visual development platform that goes beyond AI prototypes — helping you launch full-scale, AI-powered sites."
By bridging the gap between high-level creative vision and technical execution, Webflow is positioning itself as the "Brand Operating System" for the modern web.
